How to Upload Products
To upload and sell (or share for free) products through the Ministry Marketplace you first need to be a registered Vendor. If you haven't registered yet, do so now through the Become a Vendor link.
Once registered, from your dashboard landing page, locate the the "Products" drop down menu in the header menu.
From the drop down menu, select "products listing"
This will take you to all of the products you have uploaded. To add a new product (or your very first one), click on the "+Add Product" button in the upper right corner.
Adding Product Details
Now you will find yourself on the page for you to upload your product and its details. We will take it entry by entry... yay!
Product Details
- "Choose Product"-- This is a given, you only have one choice, "Digital Products."
- "Product Name"-- You get to name it!! Try to keep it simple and yet descriptive of your actual product. Ie if you are selling a Sunday school lesson plan on the parable of the Good Samaritan, naming the product "lesson" is too simple and not descriptive enough, while "Sunday School Lesson Plan for Kindergarteners on the Parable of the Good Samaritan from the vantage point of the levite" may be too descriptive. Something along the lines of "Good Samaritan Lesson Plan" could work.
- "Product Type"-- this tells the buyer the format of the digital product they will get. You can choose from a handful of regularly used formats, or "other". Send us a note if you want to suggest the addition of another format to our drop down message.
- "Description"-- now you get to be super specific. You can share the particular demographic (Kindergarten, worship bulletin, etc), the size of the image, the theological angle, anything you think prospective buyers might be interested in. You can even share about who created it if you want (your Pre School class created images for worship bulletins).
- "Tags"-- Don't skip this step!!! Tags will help buyers find your product when they use the search function. Enter words or short phrases that someone may search for and you would want your item to pop up. For our example above, the tags "Lesson Plan" "Sunday School" "Good Samaritan" "Luke" "Neighbor" "Love" could all be used as tags. Then if someone searched for "Good Samaritan" our lesson plan would be suggested to the buyer.
Product Image
This section is for the images your prospective buyers will see as they browse, NOT for the actual product file.
- "Upload Image"-- Click on the button and you will be invited to select up to 10 images that show your buyers your product. You don't want this to be the full size image, but a smaller resolution image or examples of your product being used in ministry, etc.
Collections
Select one or more "collections" that your product would fall into. In addition to your product being available in the general shop, adding it to a collection will allow a more focused browsing experience for buyers. Maybe someone is looking for lesson plan ideas, but doesn't have a topic selected yet. They could browse "Children' Ministry" without having to sort through worship images and training videos.
As more vendors upload products, we will add collections based on the items being sold. If you have suggestions, please send us a note (we are all in this together!).
Pricing Details
You get to set your price. If you want to sell your item for $75 do it! If you want to sell it for $1.62 that works too.
If you want to share you item for free, simply put $0. There is no charge to share products for free.
Add Digital Product
You will click "Upload File" and select the product file you want to sell. The file cannot exceed 100MB. It also must be a single file. If you are wanting to sell a series of images as a set, you must first make a zip file that combines your files into one file for uploading. (if you need help figuring out how to do this, you can reach out to us and we will attempt to walk you through... or you can google)
Save Changes
Once you have input all of the necessary info and uploaded your images and file, you will not push "Save Changes." This will create your product listing-- YOU DID IT!!
