Key Scripture: Romans 10:9–10 – “If you confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”
Theme: Saying Out Loud What We Believe About God
In this children’s message, we explore what it means to confess—not just admitting when we’ve done something wrong, but speaking out loud what we truly believe. Through simple comparisons (a mother telling her children she loves them, a spouse telling their partner “I love you”), kids learn that relationships grow when we express our hearts with words.
Paul teaches the early church in Rome that faith isn’t just something we think—it’s something we speak. When we confess with our lips that Jesus is Lord and believe in our hearts that He rose from the dead, we live out a faith that saves, strengthens, and brings us closer to God.
This message connects everyday “I love you’s” to the way we share our love for God, especially when we speak the Apostles’ Creed or pray out loud. It encourages kids to grow in their understanding of faith, especially as they prepare for Confirmation and learn the meaning behind what we believe.
Key Takeaway: Faith lives in your heart, but it grows when you speak it out loud.
God wants to hear us say, “I love You,” and confess who Jesus is, not to impress others, but because it strengthens our relationship with Him.
