Scripture: John 4:4–26 , Proverbs 5:21
Theme: God Sees Us Fully—and Loves Us Completely
This message uses familiar childhood games like Peek-a-Boo and Hide & Seek to help children understand an important spiritual truth: We can hide our mistakes from others, but we can never hide them from God.
In this playful yet powerful sermon, children explore how early games—like Peek-a-Boo and Hide & Seek—teach us about visibility, trust, and how we sometimes try to hide when we’ve done something wrong.
Using a creative object lesson with buttons (sin) hidden in a glass of soda, kids visually see that even when we try to hide our wrong choices, they eventually rise to the surface. The Bible shows many examples of people trying to hide from God—Adam and Eve, Jonah, and others—yet God still reached out in love.
The gospel story of The Woman at the Well reminds us that Jesus already knows everything we’ve done. And instead of running from Him, He invites us to step into the light—“Olly Olly oxen free”—because His forgiveness is safe, gentle, and complete.
Key Takeaway: We can’t hide from God and we don’t need to. He sees everything, loves us completely, and invites us to come to Him.
