Theme: True Happiness Comes From Jesus, Not Temporary Things
This sermon begins with a jar of bubbles to demonstrate how easy it is to chase after short-lived happiness. Kids see firsthand that bubbles—just like possessions, snacks, or being popular—don’t last.
Jesus had a better plan for our joy. In the Beatitudes, He explains that we are truly blessed when we rely on God instead of the world. Whether we are feeling sad, left out, spiritually hungry, or overlooked, Jesus promises comfort, friendship, strength, and hope that never fades.
Children learn that happiness based on earthly things will eventually “pop,” but the joy Jesus gives lasts forever.
Key Takeaway: Worldly happiness fades quickly, but the joy Jesus offers never disappears.
