Theme: True Generosity Isn’t About the Amount—It’s About the Heart.
In this children's sermon, kids explore the difference between the value of money and the value of generosity. Through a fun demonstration using pennies, nickels, dimes, and dollar bills, children see how we often judge giving by the amount—but Jesus sees something deeper.
The lesson uses an offering plate filled with different amounts to illustrate Jesus’ teaching about the poor widow who gave only two small coins. Though she gave very little compared to others, Jesus honored her gift as the greatest because she gave all she had.
Kids learn that when we give from the heart—whether it's money, time, kindness, or help—God sees the sacrifice, the love behind it, and calls it true generosity.
Key Takeaway: God doesn’t measure gifts by the amount—we are generous when we give our best, even if it seems small.
